| Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the City of Boston are delighted to announce the 4th annual (ahts): The Boston Arts Festival. Presented by JPMorgan Chase and Brown & Company, the Festival will showcase Boston's best visual and performing artists. Based upon last year's highly successful one-day event the 2004 festival has been expanded to take place on :
Saturday, September 10 & Sunday, September 11 Christopher Columbus Park on Boston's waterfront 11 AM - 6 PMUnder cover, over 60 juried Boston artists and craftspeople will exhibit and sell original works of art offering a preview of the upcoming Open Studios Series. Each participating artist will be eligible for the Festival Prize that will be chosen and announced at the festival.
Performance areas will showcase music, dance, and family friendly activities that reflect Boston's extraordinary cultural life and rich diversity and provide a preview of the Fall performing arts season. "Fort Point Holiday Sale"
Friday, December 9, 11am-7pm Saturday, December 10, 11am-5pm Visit more than 35 artists in two buildings in Boston's Fort Point neighborhood, and discover unique and beautiful handmade gifts by some of Boston's finest local artists and craftspeople. The 7th Annual Holiday Sale will feature jewelry, ceramics, paintings, hats, photography, greeting cards, holiday ornaments, and other surprising finds. Participating artists from all over Fort Point will be gathering in the Artist Building at 249 A Street (Map)and at the new Midway Studios (Map) just around the corner, both located in New England's largest arts community. Enjoy holiday snacks and refreshments, shop in a relaxed, festive setting, and select unusual and creative gifts! Fort Point is easily accessible from the MBTA Red Line at South Station. Free parking will be available.
